How can I offer a free product with a $50 online purchase using a discount code?

I would like to provide my bricks and mortar customer with a discount code that they can use on our Shopify store.

The idea being that if the customer purchases $50 or more online and enters the code a free product will automatically be added into the cart. This product is listed in our online store (it has a retail value of $20) and it will need to be automatically discounted by 100% in order to make it free.

Is this possible or which app would I need?

I’m sorry but this answer is quite generic…

You mention that this is possible with a few apps… however are you able to identify them? Which app will add a product into the cart and discount it by 100% automatically when a coupon code is entered?

I have not been able to find one as yet.

In this case, we suggest you to use the app “Auto Discount”, this app allows for the creation of custom coupon codes that automatically apply discounts to the cart, including the option for 100% discount on specific products.

After installed the app, you can follow these steps to create your discount offer:
