I am not 100% sure how far the pre-order dates can go, but there is an app called Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery. This app allows you to have future delivery dates for items purchased. Like I said, I have no idea if it can go several months in the future.

Our app integrates with them and most of our clients go 14-30 days in the future. I would suggest reaching out to them and asking.

Hi @Phil_at_GB , Just curious if you found a solution for this. Everything I see is to schedule a “delivery” date – since I will be shipping I don’t want to / can’t commit to an exact “delivery” date, but I would also like to be able to accept orders now for future holidays and occasions.

The Flare app will allow you to do this. Your customers can pre-plan and order gifts for future dates (e.g. for holidays and occasions) and benefit from a small discount. On the shipping date, the orders will automatically be released and then delivered.
