Hi friends,
I’ll in the process of launching a website for a cafe which wants to take online orders for their cafe (coffees, breakfast etc) and also wants to sell online products.
I have created 2x locations (Bruce cafe & online store). I have also created 2x product pages.
We want to make sure that the cafe products can’t be shipped and is only available for pickup. We also want to delete any shipping messaging from the pickup only product pages.
Is the above the best way to go about this? Can I make sure cafe pages aren’t crawled by google? I don’t want to go too far only to be told its the wrong way.
Can you also advise how I would create a variant with an additional charge rather than it having to be the total cost + amount.
I would prefer it displays as per below.
I’m using craft theme as a base.
Thanks in advance.
For having pick up only products, you should consider having two different shipping profiles. You can create new profile by going into Settings > Shipping & Delivery > Create new profile.
One profile will contain Cafe only products and would not have any shipping rates added to it, thus limiting it to be pick up only.
The second profile can contain both pick up and shipping rates allowing both the options to the end consumer.
Thanks, are you saying I shouldnt have created 2x locations?
This is what I have:
You can have 2x locations. Pick up or both (pickup + delivery) will be handled by shipping profiles.
Hey @stevedomingues ! How did you go with this? I stopped by to ask what your clients are using in-store for their cafe? We have recently created an app for Shopify POS called POS cafe for clients in a similar boat - it has enabled them to unify their commerce presence all under the Shopify umbrella. If you’re interested, check it out on the app store - https://apps.shopify.com/poscafe
