How can I pause and rebuild my online store?

Hi,

I am trying to pause and rebuild my store but I only see “Deactivate”?

Can anyone assist please?

If you’re the store owner and your store is eligible, then you can use your Shopify admin to pause your store temporarily.

Your store continues to run at a reduced cost of $9 per month.

  1. Log in to your store as the store owner.

  2. From your Shopify admin, click Settings > Plan.

  3. Click Pause or Deactivate store > Pause and build plan.

  4. Carefully review the plan details, click Switch to Pause and build.

If you don’t see this option in your account, you can contact Shopify support.

  1. Go to Shopify Help Center and log into your account.
  2. Enter your question in the router. Relevant Help Doc articles will be presented to you.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select “Continue” under "Get support."
  4. From there, you can contact our team directly.

You can check out how to move your store onto a Pause and Build plan here on our help site.

Could you let me know what happens exactly when you try to follow those steps in your own Shopify admin?

Please bear in mind that only stores that have been on a paid plan for 60 days past their free trial period would be able to move onto the Pause plan options.

Let me know if you’re not eligible for this or if you’re having any sort of issue with accessing that option in your admin.

If so, please share a screenshot and any other info you can on the options you’re presented with there so we can check this out with you!
