How can I print orders on 8.5x11 paper with POS Pro?

So my business need to print all orders and receipts to regular 8.5x11 paper. How can I do this with the Shopify POS Pro? It seems to only let me use the tiny receipt printers.

Short answer no.

There are some apps you can use as a work around to design a template and print but nothing I ever found would allow you to print to a regular printer natively from the pos.

Thats a really annoying issue that shopify should of fixed years ago.

I’m low volume on printed receipts so the thermal printer was an unnecessary expense considering I have a dozen regular printers.

So not even a 3rd party app will give the POS a “print” button where it will print to a normal printer?

Or can some of those apps do that?

Agreed - not sure how this isn’t a feature. We do not want/need a receipt printer as we have regular printers.

I never found anything, but I gave up looking after having to buy a thermal.

Same. So dumb it can’t print to a standard printer. No reason not to be able to print to a standard printer.

any chance you can print to a regular printer yet? we don’t have many customers want paper receipts and we already have our regular printer. hate to buy a reciept printer just for a few receipts a year.

I don’t think this was ever resolved. I just print form a regular computer when someone actually wants one.
