How can I rearrange payment provider positions?

Hi,

I am from India and and I want to re-arrange the payment provider positions.

Eg : right now the first payment option / provide is Razorpay and second is COD (Cash on Delivery)

I want COD should come first and the Razorpay.

If any one can please help me out

I was actually speaking to someone just a few days ago about this question in another thread, believe it or not! At this time, re-arranging the order of payment options in your checkout is not possible, unless your store is on a Plus Plan. Customizing the coding in the checkout is also heavily restricted, in order to ensure that the checkout remains secure for both merchants and customers.

Since I’ve seen a good amount of peoples requesting this feature lately, I’m going to make our Product Team aware of this thread, so they can see how the ability to re-arrange options in the checkout would be valuable to our users. I can’t say what may come as a result of me sharing this thread with the team, but you can rest assured that they’ll at least have eyes on this thread, and see the value of being able to do such a thing.

Do you mind me asking why you were looking to re-arrange the options in your checkout? Having context behind the request is also important for providing feedback to the team about these sorts of things.

In addition to all of the above information, I’d love to chat with you a bit about your business! My sisters run a small art store where they sell online and in-person, so I love chatting with other business owners about running businesses to see what sort of tips and tricks can be exchanged! The reason to re arrange payment methods are

  1. While using mobile device in the checkout page payment gateway name appears first (Refer pic number 1)

which confuses the customer that there is no other payment methods (Cash on Delivery)available. Where customer in India prefer Cash on Delivery method. So the changes their mind and leaves the store.

  1. This creates a lot of abandoned cart and loses business. Please refer pic number 2 where if we scroll a little bit down we can see the other payment option , that is Cash on Delivery.

We need this re arrangement badly as, most of the customer prefer Cash on Delivery method. And hope you know the effort of bringing a customer till check out page .

Thanks so much for providing all of the context you have here. As I had mentioned above, this context is key for our team to be able to appropriately address this feature request. I’ve gone ahead and made the team aware of your feedback, and this thread, so they’re aware of the request.

These are really good reasons to want to be able to re-arrange the options in your checkout. If your customers seem to be missing that COD is even an option, I think having an announcement bar on your home page letting customers know COD is available below RazorPay would be really helpful. We have a free application you can try out here that you can use to add such an announcement bar to your store. Some themes also have these bars built into them already, so I recommend checking out your Theme Editor Menu to see if ‘Announcement Bar’ appears at the top of the ‘Sections’ menu for your home page.
