How can I remove a malicious link from my website?

I am at my wits end with this and have had zero assistance from SHOPIFY!!! I have a malicious link embedded onto my website that google have detected and they are now withholding my google ads, this has gone on for 3 weeks and im sick of having no help or support from Shopify… this has occurred from one of the add on apps I used on my site via Shopify, the app provider has also totally ignored my requests. This is costing me a lot of money in sales and time to try to rectify this issue, SHOPIFY where is your support on this, yet you are happy to keep taking my money!!! @Shopify_77 Please can someone help me sort this out.

It sounds like that app has made changes to your theme. You have a couple of options:

  1. The easiest way to fix it is to reinstall the theme. The fresh copy will remove the link, but also any modifications you have made (including setting up any other apps you have installed). See this article for more info on how to do this.
  2. You can try to revert the changes the app made to your theme by rolling back the code changes. Here is an article on how to do that. Unfortunately you need to know which file the App changed so this might not be an option for you.

As a best practice it is always good to take a backup of your theme before making modifications or installing new apps.

BTW, you don’t really need Apps to add a delivery date chooser, or add ons. We did this site (many years ago) using the standard developer tools available in Shopify. You might want to try reaching out to a one of the partners listed here: https://experts.shopify.com/services/development-and-troubleshooting/develop-custom-theme.
