Hi So I am trying to get rid of the catalog menu off the top of the home page for my website and I have already gone into the navigation menu and deleted it there however it still shows. I planned on having customers access the collections page with all the different products through a different link in the main menu so I have no use for the catalog also the products look messy in there.

Ross here from Shopify. This is a great question, you are heading to the right place in your admin, it should be your navigation settings.
Given you have already taken the steps to remove it, can you please take a screenshot of your Online Store > Navigation page within your admin and share it here?
Then also if you would not mind sharing a screenshot of your navigation bar on your homepage of your website too just so I can compare the lists. What sometimes happens is that you have multiple navigation bars setup and they can be confused for one another.
Can you also tell me if you use any page builder applications on your store?
