Hello,
I’m selling a print that I have two editions of. One is available with a frame one is not. Is there a way to sell that item under one product? I’m using the variation option but I want the one framed to be sold as is (ex. black frame) and the other item to represent the rest of the variations (black/white/beige frame).
I’m having a hard time figuring out if this can be done under one product or it needs to be sold under two separate products.
Thanks
Hello,
you want to show in one product or in two different product?
Ideally under one product. It’s the same print, but one is framed. The other is not. It can be sold separately as a print or be framed upon request. But I don’t know how these options can be translated into the shopify forum.

Hi,
You can sell the items as one product with variations.
The variations can be “Color” or “Style”.
You can add the variations as “Black”, “White”, “Beige”, and “No Frame”.
If you add a picture (or a picture group) of the product for each variation, your buyers won’t be confused.
There are other options to resolve this issue.
- If you have knowledge of liquid code, you may make a new template for those options with the functions below.
a. Make the first options required to select “With Frame” or “Without Frame”.
b. With Frame, the buyers can select a color.
c. Without Frame, the color select option is disabled.
- You may use an App to make the function above. You may find “Variant Option & Product Option” Apps from Shopify App store for the options.
If you have any other questions, please let me know.
Hope it helps.
Thanks.
