I sell custom made furniture painted in a customer’s choice of colours. I would like to setup followup emails for customers who have placed an order periodically to update them on there order. For example after a few days, an email with a video of timber being machined, then a week later it being glued together etc. To keep them engaged with there order and keep them updated. I just want to know whether this is possible to setup and how best to go about it. I hope that all makes sense and look forward to any advice anyone may have.
Hi, @Furniturefrom !
Thanks for reaching out in our Community forums and for sharing your concern, I’d be happy to help.
I appreciate you sharing key details around your business process and what you are looking to implement. This does sound like a great idea as it will offer a more personalized experience to your customers. The main question here is whether you would like this process to be automated or manual. Depending on the number of orders, you can look to use Shopify Email to send manual updates to your customers. You can do so by setting up your template and selecting the customers that you would like to send the updates to. Check out our guide here to get started.
If you are looking for a more automated approach, you can look to use Klaviyo: Email Marketing & SMS or other similar apps as they allow you to edit templates and create workflows. For instance, you can create a flow that will wait a certain period of time before sending one of your order updates.
