Thank you for reaching out, I would be happy to offer you some insight into this. Just to clarify, are you referring to the payment gateway Stripe? If so, and you do not see Stripe as an available option in the Settings>Payments area of your admin, this may mean it is not available to you in your region. What region are you based in? Another factor to note is if our payment gateway “Shopify Payments” is available to you, Stripe will not be an option as Shopify Payments is powered by stripe.

We are a Dutch company but work with different websites all over the world. We use this shopify store for the American market and have an account with Stripe.
Is there another way to connect, maybe it can be done via the Stripe login?

Shopify will provide payment gateway options by default depending on the location you set your Shopify account up with. So if your account was set up in the Netherlands, here is a list of available payment gateways for your location. Please note that Shopify Payments is available for the Netherlands, so Stripe would not be a natively available option for your account:
That said, I would recommend reaching out to our live support team as this may be something our billing team can look into further with you. You can do this by logging into your store through the help center, searching your question/issue, then selecting “continue” at the bottom of the page that displays the search results.
