To share some insight, Shopify Payments is our premier payment gateway that’s used across the platform. It is currently supported in over 20 countries, including the Netherlands. Due to this, Stripe would only be available to those operating where Shopify Payments is not available. For more information on this, you can check out our Shopify Payments Documentation.

As you are operating in a country where Shopify Payments is currently available, it would not be possible to disable Shopify Payments to allow for the use of Stripe. However; I would love to hear your feedback on why you’d prefer using Stripe over Shopify Payments.

Hello! thank you for answer. But, when I log in to my Shopify account, go to Settings, then to Payments, and when I want to select a provider, there is no Stripe in the list. How can I connect Stripe in this case?

Hi Blair or whom ever is reading this at shopify.

My company is also located in the NL, thus i’m not able to find Stripe payment. I’d prefer to use Stripe as I have more possibilities/ methods such as MobilePay and some of the other payment methods seems to work better.
