How do I add an pinterest widget to Shopify

Hello Every one,

I need to create Pinterest widget on my home page where should i past this code for my home page?

Thank you.

Hi, @DanishRaz !

Julie here from Shopify Support.

It’s great that you’re wanting to add a Pinterest widget to your website. Is this to display your Pinterest feed? If so, this can typically be done through custom code. Where did you receive that code snippet from? If this was from Pinterest directly, then it’s important to note that Shopify themes are built using liquid code, as opposed to traditional coding languages, so the process for implementing this may be a bit different. If you are wanting to add this feature using code, then my recommendation is to get in touch with a Shopify Expert who can take care of this for you. I’m also curious to see if anyone else in the Shopify Community has suggestions!

Another way you can add this feature, however, is by using an app like PinterestFeed or Elfsight Pinterest Feed. These apps integrate directly with Shopify and allow you to embed your Pinterest feed onto your Shopify store. PinterestFeed, for example, offers numerous templates and layouts and gives you the ability to stylize the widget so that it matches your brand. Elfsight Pinterest Feed, on the other hand, also allows you to adjust the width and length of your widget.

Both apps auto-update to automatically reflect new pins and easily allow your customers to share your content on their own social media channels. If you’d like to see what these apps look like on a Shopify store, I recommend taking a look at the screenshots on each app page. If you need to get in touch with developers for support, you can reach out to them directly via the Support section on their app page.

As you continue working on building your brand on Pinterest, I recommend checking out our blog post on Pinterest Marketing. This blog post is a great resource that offers advice on how you can use Pinterest to drive sales. It also includes tips on how to create an effective business profile, utilize Pinterest analytics and keywords, and even offers examples on the different types of content you can share, from infographics to blog posts. This post even covers information on advertising on Pinterest and how you can optimize your pins to get noticed. Even if you’re a seasoned “Pinterester”, there’s a ton of great tips in there to help inspire you.

I hope this helps! What kind of content are you currently creating? I’d love to hear more about your Pinterest strategy and how you’re using Pinterest.

Get your code from Pinterest Developers Widget builder:

https://developers.pinterest.com/tools/widget-builder/?type=board&boardHeight=240&boardWidth=400&imageWidth=80&template=square

In Shopify, start a fresh page/ blog/ whatever, click “show html”, paste both he “pinit.js” and the “code” generated from the builder together, like this:

Save and then view → should show up successfully! No apps needed and completely free.
