Apparently, the Experts Marketplace and Shopify Plus Partner Directory are being replaced by a “unified Shopify Partner Directory” starting this month (September 2023). Source
Great question. As @darioaladuz mentioned, the Shopify Partner Directory will replace the Shopify Experts Marketplace and Shopify Plus Partner Directory. I don’t have specific dates to share quite yet, but you can check out this help document for more information.
If you haven’t already, I recommend creating a Shopify Partner account, that way you’ll be prepared for when the Partner Directory launches. The Shopify Partner Program is a diverse group of designers, developers, marketers, and affiliates who use the Shopify platform to build ecommerce websites, themes, and apps. As a Shopify Partner, you have access to free training courses, in-depth documentation, and other resources that will help you learn about Shopify and grow your own business. You also have access to insider information about Shopify’s product roadmap, previews of upcoming features, and Partner support to quickly resolve questions that you or your clients might have. No worries creating a Shopify Partner account is pretty simple:
Go to the Shopify Partners page

Click Join now and sign in (or create) with your Shopify ID.
Fill out the details (business name, email, location, etc.).
Once submitted, you’ll have access to your Partner Dashboard, where you can start creating development stores, manage clients, and access partner resources.
If you’re not seeing the option, double-check that you’re signing in with a regular Shopify ID (not a staff account tied only to one store).
You can’t directly apply to Shopify Experts anymore. Build a strong portfolio, get client reviews, and network in Shopify communities. Many pros now use platforms like Ketch or Upwork to connect with merchants.
