How do I delete the 'tax included' text from my product page?

Topic summary

A user successfully removed the ‘tax included’ text from their product page using custom CSS code. The solution involved:

Implementation steps:

  • Navigate to Online Store → Theme → Edit code
  • Locate the base.css file
  • Add CSS code .product__tax-caption.rte { display: none; } at the bottom
  • Save changes

The original poster confirmed this worked perfectly.

Related ongoing issue:
Another user needs to modify (not remove) their VAT display text. They want to change “INC. VAT” to “UK VAT INC - Removed at checkout for non-UK buyers” because Shopify doesn’t easily handle VAT removal for non-UK customers. While they’ve managed to remove VAT from displayed prices for non-UK buyers, the static “INC. VAT” text remains unchanged. This request is still awaiting a solution.

Hi! How do I remove the ‘tax included’ text on the product page? I tried to find languages on actions as per previous posts but can’t find it on my store.

HI @mayanevy

This is Victor from PageFly - Landing Page Builder App

You can try this code by following these steps:

Step 1: Go to Online Store->Theme->Edit code.

Step 2: Search file base.css

Step 3: Paste the below code at bottom of the file → Save

.product__tax.caption.rte {

display: none;

}

Hope that my solution works for you.

Best regards,

I’m glad to be able help you :blush:

Hi, I hope you don’t mind me replying to this post. I have the same/similar need in that I need to change the “INC. VAT” text on my products to something along the lines of “UK VAT INC - Removed at checkout for non-UK buyers.”

The reason for this is that Shopify is incapable of easily facilitating the removal of UK VAT for buyers from outside of the UK. I have fiddled with the settings and I seem to have managed to get my displayed prices to remove the VAT for non-UK , but the text next to the price still shows “INC. VAT”.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
