How do I make my logo larger with out increasing the white space?

I’m trying to add a logo to the header on a store, I’m uploading a 800x600 .png image into the brands section as the Default logo and using that as the image. However the logo is smaller than the menu text and can’t be read. I’ve tried adjusting the size with the Custom logo width slider and it does make the logo better, the header size increases so much there is a huge white space that doesn’t look right.

I’ve also tried upscaling the image and removing all the white space around the logo to see if it would make a difference but there was no change to the logo size.

I’m using the basic Dawn 7.0.1 theme. The white space is both in the mobile and desktop view.

Just checked and found that your logo image has white space on top and bottom, in this case you only need to resize the image by remove the white space on top and bottom of the image

Please take a look into this tutorial on how to remove the white space around logos.
