You’re in luck! We have a tutorial post by our Community manager that can walk you through how to code it in and have an age verification for your site.
If you’re not too comfortable with coding you can certainly try out an app from our app store in the list here, keep in mind that some are free and some have a paid plan. You can choose any app that would suit your needs in that way.
Alternatively, I highly recommend hiring one of our partners to help you with coding it into your theme if you wish. You can find a suitable Shopify Partner in the Experts Marketplace or request a quote by following this guide here.
One other suggestion that you can try is to have people sign up for a store account and verify their age manually if you prefer. You can lock down the site to only those who have an account on your site, of which you will have approved their access after age verification. There are two popular apps called Locksmith and **Bold Memberships**that can help you lock it up and allow access to members only if your site will be more exclusive. This totally depends on the direction you want to take the business and your target buyer persona.
