Hello, we are trying to change our domain from wix to shopify stores. I transferred the domain through the dns pin number and it said to transfer domains from go daddy to shopify for the $15. I transferred and payed the $15, and it said now shopify holds the domain. Go daddy doesn’t have our domain anymore and shopify says its connected to the .com but says setup in progress/needs attention for the www.com website url. Its been over 48 hours and when i look up the .com website that says its been successfully transferred on shopify, but it doesnt open a website it says DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN. When i go onto wix in domains it says error and checking domains connection. Do I need to remove the domain completely from wix for it to work with shopify? i dont want to delete anything else without knowing, but if that is what is preventing my dns from working with shopify i will.

hello, thank you for reaching out. it should be jessicarosesalon.com. when i click it in shopify it directs to our shopify store but also still says .myshopify at the top which i want it to just say jesssicarosesalon.com. When i look it up online by itself the error pops up.

I checked your DNS settings and everything is set up correctly. Are you able to send me a screenshot of your domain page in your admin. I just want to see if a redirect is set up.

could you see the screen shot? Im trying to connect the www. dns but from what is says above im trying to check my dns settings but now its not on go daddy it should be all on shopify. I dont see where i can check that on shopify.

Your jessicarosesalon.myshopify.com is your primary domain currently. You will want to change this so jessicarosesalon.com is your primary domain. You can do this by clicking the domain and clicking change domain type, select primary domain. Then click change domain type to save.
