Shopify has its own UPS rates that are a lot cheaper than what my UPS account can provide. For example, I was able to mail a bubble envelope from New York City to Boston through UPS Next Day AM for $55.00 instead of $110.00.
However, because my shop offers thousands of items, we have at least 20 box and envelope types, which means I have to set up dimensional weight through an app.
The problem is that the app needs UPS account credentials to display UPS rates. I only have credentials for my UPS account and not Shopify’s, so the rates shown to customers are the costlier and inaccurate rates.
How can I display Shopify’s UPS rates and not my own? Are there credentials they can provide me? Or is there a specific flat discount I can apply to generic UPS Retail Rates? Those are the only options presented to me on the Dimensional Weight App.
