I am new to Shopify and unable to understand it’s functionality ? Shopify is not like Amazon or Market place like no product is appearing on it when I am trying to buy some thing and 2nd questions in response of any query Shopify is not appearing on Google or other search engines so I am not getting it ?

I’m happy to chat with you a bit about what Shopify is, and how you use it. To be clear, Shopify is an ecommerce hosting platform, allowing people and businesses to run their very own online stores. Instead of facilitating a marketplace like Etsy or Amazon, Shopify provides businesses with the ability to independently host their stores online, and organically grow their branding, marketing, and SEO, for example. It’s likely you’ve purchased from online stores, or even retail stores, that use Shopify for their back-end hosting, without even realizing it. This may explain why you’re looking for a marketplace setting, but haven’t been able to find it. Here’s a resource that goes into more detail about what Shopify is, if you’re interested!
Although we may not have a central marketplace setting for you to explore for products, we do have a really cool app you can use to browser businesses, and therefore their products! It’s called the Shop App and it’s becoming increasingly popular! You can search for specific products, and you’ll be matched with products and businesses selling them. It’s a really great way to explore local or online businesses that fit what you’re looking for!
