How good is Shopify Inbox for customer support?

Any reviews on it? I see it does not offer much features but looks good enough for single person store? What’s your feedback on this? Do you know any alternatives that suited you best?

Shopify Inbox is actually a solid choice for smaller or single-person stores — especially if you just want a simple way to chat directly with your customers. It integrates smoothly with Shopify, shows customer info (like their cart contents or order history) right in the chat, and even supports basic automated replies (like “How long is shipping?”).

That said, it has some limitations once your business grows:

  • No full ticketing or multi-channel support history

  • Limited automation or prioritization options

  • Not ideal for multiple agents or teams

If you’re looking for something more advanced, Tidio, Gorgias, and Richpanel are strong alternatives. They all integrate with Shopify but offer better automation, analytics, and multichannel features (email, social, chat).
