How long does it take to update social sharing image and Meta description

Hi everyone,

I just published my online store www.saltationallures.com. After publishing I realized the social sharing picture needed to be updated…as well as the meta description. I have since changed it (just an hour ago) and haven’t seen the change reflected when sharing and searching. Is this delay normal? Everything else seems to reflect change instantly.

When updating your social image, it should take effect immediately; however, other platforms such as Facebook will have your old image cached and may not crawl the new image right away. To fix this, you’ll need to use Facebook Debugger Tool. Just place your domain through that tool and you should be good. Are you experiencing this on any other platform?

Hi just having the same issue, but the debugger tool hasn’t worked for me. I tried several different times. and then it was giving me an error for all my og: info. please help.

nevermind. I tried last night for over an hour. Checked facebook this morning, still wasn’t working. Bit just went to the debugger now and it worked ??‍

although I am still getting this:

  • Missing Properties
    The following required properties are missing: og:url, og:type, og:title, og:description, fb:app_id
