I want to be able to use different product descriptions and size guides for my products using the horizon theme. When I was using the dawn theme, I was able to create metafield definitions and then link the pages I created using the dynamic source; that way each product had it’s own unique description and size guide. The metafield definitions are showing up now that I am using the horizon theme. Is there a new way to do this?
I did actually just figure out how to use the metafield definitions. You can just add a page block instead of using the text block in an accordion row. The problem I have now is that it shows the page title, which I don’t want it to, and that the text and the spacing on the product page is not the way I have it on the metafield description page. The font is different and the spacing is off. Do you know how I can edit that?
Horizon processes dynamic sources in a different manner. Open the product template in the theme editor and insert a custom liquid or text block. Use the reference to the metafield code like {{ product.metafields.custom.size_guide }} . This allows every product to have unique content that is linked from your metafields instead of using Dawn’s dynamic source functionality .
