Basically all I need is to take the search bar that is in the header and find out how to add it to the collection page. I tried to copy and paste the code but the search button wouldn’t work, and when I tried to copy paste the search “drawer” the search wouldn’t autofill like it does on the header.

sorry for that issue its not possible to search bar work on collection page theme allow only header as per theme
You can try this app https://apps.shopify.com/ultimate-search-and-filter-1. It has an option in Advanced settings to show a Search bar on collection pages.
