How to assign specific market permissions to staff members on Shopify?

I need to set up a store with 2 geographical areas (markets). Simplifying a lot, one for the USA and one for the rest of the world.

Now, I can certainly satisfy this need with the Markets functionality of shopify, which also allows me to set up different domains and languages, different products and prices, different currencies, different shipping rules and different payments methods for each individual market.

So far so good.

My doubt is the following:
If I needed to add staff members who only have permissions to view and manage a particular market, how could I do this?

Let me explain, I would have to have a staff member who can only view (and possibly not edit) products associated with the US Market, view and manage orders coming from the US Market, manage stock for products associated with the US Market and so on…

is this possible?

Unfortunately at the moment, you cannot assign different staff permission access while working with Shopify Markets.

This is possible only on Shopify Plus but it also requires to create expansion stores and could be challenging in terms of management and have much higher costs.

I suggest educating your staff members to work only on the store content they are allowed to change.

Has this been addeessed at all? I would like my Web team to be able to update prices for the US market. It surely can’t be that only I can update the pricing for this market? and my staff can’t access markets?
