How to best use video on product pages?

Hi!

I am experimenting with video in my product listings (oneblushingbride.net), and I am trying to figure out the following:

  1. Is hosting via Youtube or Vimeo better

  2. Is there any way to upload the video below the product (on the theme editor where you make the layouts) and to then connect a dynamic source for the videos? I would prefer for the video to be lower on the page.

I appreciate any and all honest feedback about anything - whether it is about design, loading time, etc. Thank you!

about your 1st question

Both video hosting platforms have different guidelines regarding how much content you can upload and store. YouTube is entirely free — so it’s tough for Vimeo to compete with it. However, if your content upload and storage requirements are high, Vimeo is the better option. Disadvantages of Vimeo
Visibility is lower than YouTube by all measures. It has a smaller audience, fewer views, and lower standing in Google’s search results.
I think You tube is bettrer.

2nd Question

Yes it is possible we have to write some code for it and it is possible to make dynamic.

YouTube is a very popular platform compared to Vimeo. Video could be a good source of referral traffic for your website.

It will be better to use YouTube instead of Vimeo. For dynamic sources, yes you use metafield to show video dynamically.

Would recommend the below video to understand how you can use metafield a dynamic source.
