I’m looking for a way to add the same description to all of my products. Since I have over 500 products uploaded, adding a description separately would take a lot of time!
I’m using the dawn theme!

As far as I know, there is not a single way to populate the description box of the product editor in your Shopify admin automatically. BUT there is a way to display one specific description on all product pages. You can do so by editing the Product-template.liquid file and replacing the Liquid description object with that one description text that you want to display on all products.

Go to sections > main-product.liquid file, find ‘product__description rte’ and add description here:

Do not mess around with the code.
In your theme editor go to product page and add a section. This will work if you want to add it to all your products.
Alternatively you can add an app and use it to change your descriptions. This way you can change descriptions according to conditions so you can have different descriptions for different products.
500 is not that much products. Get easy ways of editing your products and you can add thousands. The are lots of options to use
Keep in mind that having the exact same description on hundreds of products is bad for SEO.
