How to get on Google Merchant Center (Can anyone provide a guide to list products on GMC? I can’t find any source to do)

Hello @AnnieH-L ,

To list your products on Google Merchants Center, you can follow these steps:

  • Go to your Shopify admin channel → Select "Channels’ → Add sale channels → select “Google”
  • Click Connect Google Merchant Center
  • Review and optimize your product data
  • Upload your product feed to Google Merchant Center
  • Review and submit your products for approval

Remember some products like eBook not be listed on GMC. Let us know if you have any further questions.

  • Upload your product feed to Google Merchant Center & also it can be sync
  • Review and submit your products for approval

Please note some products are not banned in google according to the country you live in.

Make sure you have the right set-up on your store and the right information before jumping onto it.

Many people jump straight into setting things up without understanding Google’s expectations and end up getting their Google Merchant Account suspended. (You actually don’t want to get there.)

First ensure your website is compliant, you can either read the official documents.

Go to https://www.google.com/retail/solutions/merchant-center/ and log in using your email address. I recommend using the same email as Google Ads, Google My Business and Google Search Console. (Not required)
Finish the setup and verify and claim your site

Then to create a feed, you have a lot of options. There is the free Google Channel, which I personally do not use as it is very limited in functionality.

Hello @AnnieH-L ,

Thanks for your reply. For your question, after connect your GMC account and created a product feed, you can:

  • Go to Products → click on Feeds → Add primary feed button → select Scheduled fetch as the input method
  • Choose Shopify product feed as the source
  • You can then set up a schedule for your product feed to be automatically synced with GMC

Hi @EmmanuelFlossie I was hoping I can get your assistance with my Shopify site. I have made many improvements to my website but I continue to be rejected by Google Merchant. They are still saying my website needs improvement but I don’t know what else I can do at this point. I was hoping we you can help me out. My website is www.guestify.store

For example add a favicon.

For example add your business details in the footer (address, email, phone, business hours)

For example missing business address on the contact page.

For example missing in or out of stock info on the product landing page.

Wow thank you so much for your time and advice! I went ahead and made all the changes you suggested as well as reviewed the documents you provided. I am going to resubmit to Google Merchant but before I do, would you mind having another look to see if you catch anything else?
