Is there a way to change the initial store name associated with the account and URL?
When logging in, it states the initial store name, is there a way to change this without deleting the account and starting all over? I know you can change the name of the shop, however, I’d actually like to reserve the new name of my shop as a shopify URL.

You can absolutely change your store name. This can be done by going to Settings > Store details in your admin.
While the store name can be changed, you won’t be able to change the Shopify username or the .myshopify.com URL that is used for logging in, as this is permanently tied to your Shopify account. However, if you add a custom domain and make that your primary domain, the .myshopify URL will not be customer facing and visitors will only see your custom domain.
