How to change the vertical size of my hero slide-show on Impulse theme?

Hello everyone,

I need your help! Hope that someone can help me somehow. I am using IMPULSE THEME on shopify and I want to change my vertical size of my hero slideshow.

My website is stoffefactory.de

If you visit the website you can see that the hero slider is maxed out on the vertical level. Which is fine for the usage on a smart-phone, Ipad etc. but once you visit the website on a bigger screen it maxed out too much plus the pictures appear blurry.

Here is a screenshot how it looks on a Mac Computer and where I wanted it to be (red rectangle). https://ibb.co/Mnf47Nh

Any idea how to fix it at least for the view on a bigger screen? Could not find anything so far :confused:

I increase also the height is you take it out if you dont like to.

  • From your Shopify admin dashboard, click on “Online Store” and then “Themes”.
  • Find the theme that you want to edit and click on “Actions” and then “Edit code”.
  • In the “Assets” folder, click on “base.css, style.css or theme.css” file, depending on which file your theme uses to store its CSS styles. At the bottom of the file, add the following CSS code:
div#Slideshow-template--17865677701386__slideshow {
    width: 70%;
    height: 800px;
    margin: auto;
}
  • And Save.
