I have read the other threads in regard to doing this; however, they reference product.liquid and my theme template for products is product.json. When I create the new template, the template is blank as in there is no code present. Should I simply copy the code from the product.json template into the product.customizable.liquid template that I create or is there something else I should be doing?

You can just copy from product.json, you can also create a copy of a template using the theme editor on the backend and that will handle copying the template for you.

In the product.json, find the main section of your product page, in my case it is main-product
Then we should go to the file main-product.liquid and edit code there.

I understand that it says it is for Advanced, however, the code that is identified to find and replace, etc. is not the same in this tutorial. Is there a tutorial that you are aware of for creating this custom personalization box when you don’t have the product-template in the code to change to product-customizable-template and then editing the main-product.liquid section to follow along with what you’ve indicated above?

The tutorial you sent above is outdated since it is written for the old-school Liquid theme. Shopify has switched the theme mechanism to JSON template theme, which is different from Liquid theme. I don’t happen to have a tutorial for it now, it is quite technical so you should find a freelancer to do the work for you. Hope you the best!
