How to do recently added products collection?

(For anyone else finding this thread)
I just add a tag as I create each new product, called ‘new’.
And have a collection that adds all those products automatically.
When I get a new order every few weeks, I use a free bulk editor to delete all ‘new’ tags instantly, before adding new products.
That way you can also not tag products you may not like so much, but need to have.

Does Shopify not want us to make sales? Showcasing latest products is certainly a basic feature of shop, isn’t it? Is there nay update to this?

i’m not really sure how to do this. I know how to create a new collection but i can’t find where to sort it be addition date? i’m sure i’m just tired but i can’t figure it out

I came here cause I also couldn’t figure it out but the fix is pretty simple. The option to sort doesn’t appear until after you’ve saved the collection. I followed this tutorial and it does seem to work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPi6izVTnl8
