How to fix the 'Your connection is not private' error on my website?

Over the past few years I’ve received customer messages saying that my site is “Unsafe”.

The old “Your connection is not private” message absolutely kills trust regardless if there is a workaround or specific browser issue.

Shopify says it’s fine. No error on their end.

I’ve gone through it with “support” about 6 times. Always the same… no resolution.

Been using Shopify for many years. Domain name is not new. Purchased from Shopify way back.

Happens when I click from something like FB or Linkpop… but also often when simply opening Chrome.

Has anybody found a real solution?

Received a message (with a video even) from Chris at Shopify support.

He suggested I add a subdomain to my main domain with “www”. It seems I did not have this set up.

Looks like it works.
