Why is my checkout page showing a 'connection not private' error?

Hi, my store has this problem that when you try to go to the checkout page an error pops up saying that this connection is not private. Please help.

Can you share the link to the website please?

Hi [email removed]Vaxxf,

If you encounter a “connection is not private” error when trying to access the checkout page of your store, it typically indicates an issue with the SSL certificate or HTTPS configuration. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

  1. Clear your browser cache: Sometimes, the issue can be related to outdated or cached data in your browser. Clearing your browser cache can help refresh the page and potentially resolve the error.

  2. Check SSL certificate validity: Ensure that your SSL certificate is valid and has not expired. Contact your SSL certificate provider to verify the status of your certificate.

  3. SSL configuration: Verify that your SSL certificate is correctly installed and configured on your server. Make sure it covers all necessary domains and subdomains, including the checkout page.

  4. Mixed content issues: Check for any mixed content warnings on the checkout page. Mixed content occurs when there are both HTTP and HTTPS resources (such as images, scripts, or links) on the page. Ensure that all resources are served over HTTPS to avoid security warnings.

  5. Shopify SSL settings: If you’re using Shopify, go to your Shopify admin panel and navigate to “Settings” > “Domains.” Ensure that your primary domain and any additional domains are properly configured and set to use HTTPS.

  6. Domain DNS settings: Confirm that your domain’s DNS settings are correctly configured to point to your Shopify store. Improper DNS settings can cause SSL connection errors.

  7. Contact Shopify Support: If the issue persists, reach out to Shopify’s support team for further assistance. They can investigate the issue specific to your store and provide guidance on resolving the SSL connection error.

Hope my solution works perfectly for you.

Cheers!

Hi @vaxxf

To confirm, your store address is www.nutrigize.shop?

If yes, I can see that your SSL certificate has not finalized. This could be that there was a change to the DNS settings so it needs to repopulate or that the DNS information is incorrect for the domain.

My tools report that you have multiple A @ records on file, which is most likely the issue. You will want to remove all A @ records and only leave the Shopify record of: 23.227.38.65. That should resolve the issue!
