I’m seeking advice on best practices for displaying “Call for Quote” products. I’ve successfully customized a product page to hide both the price and the add-to-cart button and have added a contact form. However, I’m faced with an issue: the price field is mandatory and can’t be left empty. I’ve currently set it to a placeholder value of $9999.99, which unfortunately shows up when the product appears with other priced products in Collections, Recommendations, and Similar Products sections.
Does anyone have a workaround for this issue or any tips on managing the price field effectively for “Call for Quote” products?
Additionally, does anyone have insights on how these “Call for Quote” products interact with the Shopify Google feed, Google Merchant Center, and Google Ads? I understand this might not be the ideal forum for the last part of my question, but any input would be valuable.
For price quote products, you need to unpublish them in the feed app. As you are only allowed to advertise products that can be bought directly on the website.
To unpublish go to the google and youtube app > manage products > unpublish.
Thanks, I will keep the “Call for Quote” products published as I have them listed in a Google Call Campaign.
My main question is how to handle the price field for “Call for Quote” products so that I don’t have to display a $999.99 price when the products show up on a collection page with other products displaying product prices.
