I am just starting my store. I make jewelry, but I don’t make the same piece twice. Must it just created at the time I am making it. How do I create a store where my inventory will change all the time?

Great question! In a scenario where you only have a single, unique product to sell, you can create the product listing and track the inventory by simply indicating that there is one (1) available. That way, when the product is sold, the inventory will be marked a zero (0) and will no longer be available for purchase. You must simply ensure that this setting is NOT checked off:
If that is checked, the product will continue to be available even though the inventory has run out. This part is crucial.
When the product is sold, you can either archive the product listing or delete the product all together. The choice is yours and either option will remove the product from your storefront immediately.
Ultimately, you can use Shopify to create your unique products as you craft them and archive them when it has sold. Many merchants on our platform operate this way and find ease with our system after selling their first product.
