How to refresh expired items in Google merch Center

About a week ago i linked my shopify store to the Google merch center, using the Google & Youtube app and the content API.

All my products were imported succesfully and i have no errors.

But i saw that all items expire after 30 days. There is no ‘fetch now’ button in the primary feed.

How do we keep our items active without letting them expire?

Hello Twiggy,

This is the recommended approach and leverages Shopify’s Content API to automatically send updates to Google Merchant Center:

Schedule Content API Updates:

Within your Shopify admin, navigate to “Settings” > “Apps and sales channels” > “Google & YouTube.”
Find “Content API” Section: Locate the “Content API” section and ensure “Schedule updates” is enabled. You can choose a frequency for automatic updates, such as every hour, day, or week.
No Manual Button Needed:

With scheduled updates enabled, you won’t need a “fetch now” button. Google Merchant Center will automatically receive updates about your products from Shopify, preventing them from expiring.

I hope it will solve your issue. if YES please mark is as solved and press the like BUTTON…

Cheers

Thanks Sam_ian.

I can enter the setting > apps and sales channels> google & youtube; but i can’t find the ‘content API’ section.

There is not a single thing i can edit there; only click on links to ‘learn more about it’. And a red big button to uninstall…

There is no such thing in the google app settings. So this is the wrong information.

Still we have the same issue with products not updated in Google Content API, is there any way to force it ?
