A popular question is, How can I set ONE quantity of a particular item, without having to set additional quantities for every variation of one item.
For example. If I am printing T shirts designs to order, I may have a quantity of 5 T-Shirts and 3 variations of designs to choose from.
(not a quantity of 5 T-shirts per design)
regardless of what variation of design the customer chooses, ones all 5 shirts are sold, thats it. Im sold out.
@Shopify_77 Wants you to put a quantity for every variation of product you have. This isn’t the case for all people. It should be a feature that u can either A. Have a quantity for every variant you offer, or B. Have all your variations come from one general quantity amount.
Now I have found some solutions to this.
You can go to the app store and find apps that fix this problem (which should be a basic @Shopify_77 feature) at the time of me writing this the only app I have found so far is;
Connected Inventory- “Sync inventory quantity across product”
However This app is not compatible with every one. You must be subscribed to the “Basic, Shopify, Advanced” plans in order to get access to that app.
Again this seems like a really basic feature that should be included with the default store, but if anyone has any other solutions to this problem or work arounds please comment and let us know. Also anyone with a similar problem is welcomed to comment too. This issue needs more awareness as I think its a more common problem than it appears to be.
Thanks for taking the time to read and comment.
