How to set up a free staging site for website updates?

Hi

I have a live website but want to make alot of changes to it but do not want to make the changes on the live site yet.

What is the best way of setting up a staging website that is free.

For theme based changes just use a duplicate theme and use the visual editor which also has a preview system.

Otherwise if a merchant is working with a shopify partner or expert ask them if they can make development for you to experiement in.

Have made a development store in the partner dashboard but just a couple of questions around this.

  1. Can we transfer the staging store to there current account with just additional pages updated
  2. What is the best way to get the pages and products on the current site into the staging site in the partners dashboard
