I am currently switching platforms to shopify. We have also recently registered a new LLC. All is set up in Shopify to make the switch, however the TIN for LLC is not yet in IRS database. (Only been 1 week).
is there a way for me to upload docs to verify? Or do I just have to wait? I am running short on time to make the switch for billing reasons.

If you register as an LLC our payments team will ask for some form of verification for your business, although you should be able to add a disclaimer about delay in having your information in the IRS database. If you have evidence in the form of documentation that your business is registered as an LLC then you can submit that to our team if and when it is requested.
Thank you, yes i have enabled our Shopify payments account. It then requests additional information, specifically for the TIN. We have recently registered, but do have documentation listed in shopify help.

Once you set up your Shopify Payments our team will reach out to request the documentation. That being said, there is no specific period of time in which they will reach out. Generally speaking, it will be sooner than later. Keep in mind, you will generally be required to also submit your ITIN or SSN along with your LLC information.
Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee our Payments Team will allow you to process payments through Shopify Payments without providing the necessary documentation.
Hi! I’m experiencing the same thing, and the Shopify Payments team just has not reached out. I submitted the help ticket last week via support team who said the ticket is marked as high priority, but I still haven’t heard back after almost a week.
