Hello,
If a customer pays through card online I am charged Shopify Payments fee (1.75% + $0.30 AUD).
Where can I see all the Shopify Payments fees from X to Y date? It’s not showing in Analytics > reports.
And no Settings > Billing is NOT the answer

Navigate to the “Settings” section in your Shopify admin.

From the dropdown menu, select “Payment providers.”

Scroll down to the “Shopify Payments” section and click on “Manage.”

On the Shopify Payments settings page, scroll down to the “Review payout details” section.

Under “Transaction fees,” you’ll find a table that displays your Shopify Payments fees for each transaction during the selected period. You can adjust the date range using the provided filters.
Please note that this section will only show the Shopify Payments fees associated with the specific payment provider. If you’re using other payment gateways, such as PayPal or Stripe, their fees will not be reflected in this section.

How To View All Shopify Payments Fees On All Orders?
The basic option:
In your Admin, look at the Menu on the left side, go to Finances, then Payouts.
From there, you can click on the Search and Filter button (looks like a magnifying glass and a hamburger button) to adjust the dates. I wish Shopify had a “Last Year” option, but instead, you will have to use Custom, then enter 2023-01-01 to 2023-12-31 (assuming you are looking for 2023 Fees).
The fees are listed in one of the columns.
I would highly suggest you click the “Save As” button to save this report. That way you can easily pull it back if needed (so you don’t have to type the dates again).
You can click Export to save the data (in my case, the CSV file is emailed to me by Shopify).
Here is why I call it the Summary version: There is no way to differentiate the types of fees charged. Shopify has it all in 1 bucket, and it could be Payment Processing Fees, but it could also be Shipping fees.
The detailed option:
In your Admin, look at the Menu on the left side, go to Settings, then Billings.
Scroll down to the Recent Bills section, then click on View all billing history.
Click on Filter, then Date, then select what suits your needs (e.g. in the last month, input your own dates…)
You will get an email from Shopify to download your data as a spreadsheet, which has a “Charge category” column (Shipping, Apps, Marketing Emails…)
I have yet to find a comprehensive report and I ended up mashing both reports together and using Excel to reconciliate the data. I assume Shopify has apps to manage that, but I don’t know of a free solution outside of Excel.

Hey Onyx! As the solutions describe, seeing payment processing and transaction fees is a real nightmare. It currently takes a load of steps to see very aggregate data.
We are currently free testing a profit tracking app which has a built in payment processing breakdown that will show the fees per order on your shopify dashboard along with fees per country, customer type and time period in our dashboard. You’d be surprised at just how much money goes to processing payments!
Because we are only accepting testers our app is not fully live on the store but I would love to share more if you’re interested and onboard you as a tester.
