I like that my website shows in my catalog first the newest articles.
Presently its showing : sort by: A-Z. by default.
I tried using shopify help aswell as help centre assistant, but not winning.
Please assist
When you creating a collection, you can set the default sort in Admin.
If you’re talking about page at /collections/all – this is not a full collection by default, so you can’t change the sort order as it is.
However, you can create a new collection with the name “All”, make it automatic and use a condition, say “price >= 0” – this should include all products in the store.
This collection will replace the /collections/all and you will be able to set the default sort order like for any other collection.

And could you please clarify your message again for actually what you are looking for. Whether you want to change the order of Sorting or somehow you want to make other changes.
It’s important to share the exact page link where you want us to make change.
Hi Tim, I have 4 collections - I like all products to be shown on my website from new to all on the catelog as default. Maybe I am missing something in your instructions?

Can you please confirm if you are using the Shopify search and discovery app? Also, can you please provide the store URL so that I can check the filters and provide you with the code that will show the newest blog first?
Then how I suppose to help you without any detail in a ScreenShot or somehow more explanation.

Hi Tim, I shared some screen prints of my website. By default, it shows: sort by: A-Z.
I like it to be sorted by default: new to old.
Yes, go to the collection definition in Admin, and set the dropdown marked with red arrow in my screenshot to the sort you require. Then save.
Example: All Available – BBK Market

Reload the site, clear cache, try other browser, incognito mode – all of these Collections – Haller Treasure Chest are shown as Newest to oldest to me:

Hi, when I click on your link, its true, it shows new to old on HOME.
Strangely on my website, after clearing cache, using 2 different browsers and rebooting pc, its not changed.I trust my customers will see NEW to OLD.
Correct me if I am wrong.

Asking if you can see on the catalog page from new to old as default? Just checking if the problem has being solved. As i still see it sorted from A-Z
Catalog, which links to /collections/all is a different beast.
It is not a collection initially.
