I have exceptional products. I have great photos. I have a mobile optimized theme.
In the past few weeks, I have increased the traffic to my site from 150 visitors per day to 1500-2k visitors per day and my rate of conversion is still less than 1%.

From what I can see at a quick glance, 2 things. Your menu bar on my phone shows such a dark grey, I can’t even read the menu items. 2nd you have a chat with us and a messenger option. They both open where they run into each other.

Looks much better! As a question to you, how have you been able to grow your website with the traffic you have been able to? My wife’s site has been slow to gain traffic. It is trending upward, but slow. Where you have grown quickly which is great! You will get the conversations you are looking for soon now that the navigation is fixed.

I have been on Shopify since before the holidays, and I am just now starting to gain momentum. Truthfully, I didn’t apply as much effort towards building the site as I could have until the start of the new year. When I’ve solicited feedback from the experts, I’ve taken notes and applied the info immediately.
Naturally, because I have done the work, it’s frustrating to me to see the visitor numbers climbing and not receive a better rate of conversion.

Analyzing your conversion funnel will help you figure out where your store needs to be improved. Consider these things when you do a store analysis (just in case you didn’t know about them before).
- View Content → Add To Cart: 8% to 10%
- Add to Cart → Initiate Checkout: 50-60%
- Initiate Checkout → Purchase: 50-60%
For example:
- View Content → Add to Cart: 2.49%
(The percentage next to “Added to cart”)
- Add To Cart → Initiate Checkout: (608/1208)*100 = 50.3%
Divide “reached checkout” sessions by “added to cart” sessions.
- Initiate Checkout → Purchase: (329/608)*100 = 54.1%
Divide “Sessions converted” sessions by “Reached checkout” sessions.
As you can see in the example above, the unsatisfactory point is from the step “View Content” to “Add to Cart”, but the other steps are doing good. So, from “View Content” to “Add to Cart,” there is room for improvement.
Now you can start calculating to see where you need to improve.
