Things I recommend fixing quickly:
- Upload a favicon: If you don’t have one, it returns a 404 (not found) error for every browser request to the site, which is bad for Google rankings.
- Run a PageSpeed test: Use this link: https://pagespeed.web.dev/analysis After running it, you’ll get a list of issues with your website. Try to fix at least all the SEO-related ones. Unique meta titles and descriptions for each page are highly important.
Next steps:
- Add descriptions for every product on your page: You currently have 110 SKUs, which might feel challenging. I’d advise using LLMs like chatgpt or, personally, I prefer claude.ai. Even on the free tier, it’s sufficient to generate unique text for your entire inventory within a few weeks. Upload a product image, ask it to create a Shopify description, and then adjust it to match your unique tone. Please don’t use purely generated text - LLMs are tools to assist, not replace you.
- Fill out the shipping information tab: It’s empty on every product page right now. This is very important for both conversions and rankings.
- Add more visuals to product pages: Include descriptions (alt text) for images as well - it helps with rankings.
Backlinks:
- Once these are done, focus on building backlinks. Organic backlinks are ideal, but you’ll need a foundation first. Try announcing your products on Reddit, X.com, and other publicly available (this is very important) communities.

When it comes to SEO & Google, you’ve got two paths: organic vs. paid.
Google Shopping Ads (Paid) – These show up above search results in the shopping carousel, where high-intent buyers are looking. You can pay to get to the top by running Google Shopping campaigns. The official Google & YouTube App for Shopify makes setup easier—it helps connect your product feed, Merchant Center, and ad account so you can launch ads straight from Shopify. There are lots of other apps that also help with product feeds in the app store in the “product feed” category. Lots of these feed apps can also help automate/create product feeds for distributing product data to other platforms e.g. facebook, bing etc..
Google SEO (Organic) – This is a longer game and can be quite time consuming. It’s about optimizing product pages, writing helpful blog content, and building backlinks to rank higher in search over time. Great for free traffic, but it takes patience and time.
If ads sound tricky (it can be very daunting without experience) or you don’t have an upfront ad budget yet, some apps fund and run Google Shopping Ads for you and take a cut of sales instead. Rather than upfront cost-per-click (CPC) costs, this is known as cost-per-acquisition (CPA) or performance based advertising and is risk-free for you (the performance marketer takes on the ad spend risk).
Also, if you do have a budget, you could try testing a small campaign or bring in a PPC expert—but be wary of anyone guaranteeing results (Google’s auction system is unpredictable).
