I’ve recently opened a new store and I’m getting a lot of traffic from Ireland and Portugal with no sales. I opened Tidio and checked the browser my “visitors” use and all I see is “Netscape - 5?” Which is suspicious. How do I combat this?
Bots are a regular occurrence for any online store as they are crawling for information. They aren’t malicious in nature and shouldn’t have any impact on your storefront. However; if you’re wanting to find a way to combat bot activity, then you could look into apps like Blockade.
You may also consider reviewing any paid ads that you have running. How wide are is your audience? Is it narrow or broad? Narrowing down your ads to be specific in the audience you hope to attract could help lessen the impact of bots by hopefully creating more authentic traffic from potential buyers.
