Hi all,
I had a quick question and was wondering if any of you could help me with the following. I’m running a store (located in the Netherlands) with customers that are mostly from the Netherlands. One of the primary payment methods in the Netherlands for online shopping is iDeal. It’s crucial that my store offers this, however, I’ve run into a bit of a problem.
Although my customers are mainly Dutch, my products are exclusively delivered in a foreign country, namely Surinam. Though the customers are Dutch, and should therefore be eligible to pay with iDeal (via Shopify payments) somehow the iDeal payment option does not show up. When experimenting I noticed that when I add a shipping zone for the Netherlands, and place an order with a delivery address in the Netherlands, iDeal does show up. However, this is not what I want, since I don’t delivery my products to addresses in the Netherlands. It seems like Shopify looks at a customer’s shipping address in deciding what payment options to show. I’ve not yet looked into offering iDeal with third party payment providers because that’s much more expensive. I was wondering if there is any way I can still use iDeal via Shopify payments, since my customers mostly live in the Netherlands.
Thanks in advance!
