If I pay shopify plus, how many different stores can I have?

Hello.

We are trying to determine whether Shopify Plus is a good option for us. I’ve read that Shopify Plus allows you to have up to 10 stores in your account and have them in different domains, with different themes and everything.

Our use case is the following:

  • We want to open a store for a brand A, we need access to Shopify APIs and therefore, Shopify Plus subscription.

  • We want to open a store for a brand B, with its own unique domain, inventory, theme, plugins, etc, completely different from brand A’s store. It also needs access to Shopify APIs and therefore, Shopify Plus subscription.

  • We want to be able to open more stores for other brands (let’s say up to 10 for the sake of the example).

Considering this, should I pay for Shopify Plus only once or will I need to pay Shopify Plus for each new store I want to open?

If you have multiple brands under the same company, you will need a separate Shopify Plus contract per brand. You might want to reach out to sales for further clarification.

How many online stores can I have?
Unlimited online stores, but one brand per contract.* This allows one brand to sell internationally with localized currency, language, and content.

Your main store and 9 expansion stores are included as part of your monthly platform fee. For additional stores, it costs an extra $250 per month per store, or a revenue share across all stores. Get in touch with sales to learn more.

*If you have multiple brands under the same company, you will need a separate Shopify Plus contract per brand.

So you are only allowed to sell a singe brand under a single Shopify plus contract.
