In case a customer wishes to cancel their order

What if in case a customer wishes to cancel their order.
There is no default cancel option from customer end.

By default, if a customer wishes to cancel the order, they would have to email you (the store administrator/owner) who can process cancellation via /admin dashboard.

But, there is a Shopify app that lets store owners streamline this process. The app provides an interface for customers to cancel/edit/reorder on the order status page.

Hey @AA17 !

Your question is a great one. As @Nick_Marketing mentioned, currently, Shopify does not currently support a process for customers to edit and cancel their orders, however I do have some solutions for you to consider that would allow your customers access, edit and cancel their orders.

My first suggestion is to use this app called Orderify from our App Store . Orderify makes it easy for customers to edit/cancel/reorder from the order status page, the order confirmation email and the account page. The app costs $4.99 and has a 30 day free trial, check it out and start a free trial to see if it suits you and your business.

The next suggestion I have is to get the help of a Shopify Expert here at this link. With the help of an expert, they can carry out custom jobs on your store like this at a fee.

Aside from the above, how is business going? I’d be happy to help you out with some business growth ideas if you would like to discuss them further. In the meantime, have a great day!

Hello @AA17 ,

To cancel an order, the customer will visit the My Account section & raise a cancel request for the order. Clicking the Return Request button, you can click the Cancel button to cancel the order.
