We want to increase the limit of metafield list value from 128 to 1000. Can Shopify increase the limit or is their any other way to achieve it?

We have unique model numbers linked to appliance types. However, one part type number can be linked to different models. We want to add this value inside metafields. Like model numbers this part suits. For eg a vacumm bag filter suits diff vacuum models. Max we have is 1050 models.
