Integration Issues: Seeking Guidance and Solutions

Hello Shopify Community,

I wanted to reach out and share my current struggles with integration issues on the platform. Despite my excitement about using Shopify for my business, I’ve encountered significant challenges in seamlessly integrating various apps and services into my store. I’m hoping to connect with fellow members who have experienced similar issues and seek guidance or potential solutions.

Over the past 4 weeks, I’ve been working diligently to integrate essential apps and services into my Shopify store. However, I’ve encountered roadblocks and inconsistencies along the way. Whether it’s connecting with third-party shipping providers, payment gateways, and marketing platforms, the process has been far from smooth.

One particular concern revolves around the integration of Facebook and Instagram. These social media platforms play a crucial role in my marketing. Unfortunately, despite following the necessary steps, I have been unable to establish a successful integration. This has severely effected my business.

I’ve tried various troubleshooting methods, reached out to Shopify support, and sought assistance from the respective app developers. However, I have yet to find a definitive solution that resolves these integration issues. The lack of seamless integration has not only caused frustration but has also resulted in banning violations on Pinterest, Google merchant and Facebook has been “in review” for 2 weeks now.

If any community members have experienced similar integration issues or have successfully resolved similar challenges, I would greatly appreciate any insights, advice, or workarounds that you can provide. Sharing your experiences and suggestions could help me identify potential solutions or alternative approaches that I may not have considered.

Thank you

What are the integration issues with facebook and instagram?

For the past 18 months, I have been running a thriving business with my products seamlessly integrated on Instagram and Facebook Shop, allowing customers to make purchases directly on my website. However, upon deciding to expand my business and migrate to Shopify, I encountered a series of unexpected challenges.

After rebuilding my website on Shopify and meticulously transferring my products, I eagerly launched my new store. Initially, everything seemed to be working perfectly, and I was thrilled with the integration of my accounts. However, within a mere 24 hours, all my accounts started receiving violations, despite them being verified and having a significant following.

Unfortunately, the integration issues and subsequent violations have greatly impacted my brand.

Ah sorry to hear that - sounds terrible! :grimacing:

I’m having the same issue. I started my site, found my products, everything looked right.

Now I’ve struggled with Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to the point I’ve pulled these apps. I tried Pinterest but had issues with them because even though I made the recommended changes, it’s not good enough. The only social media platform I seem to be onside with is TikTok. I’m seriously considering shutting down my Shopify store and looking at alternatives.

Hi, @ROBERTGEE .

Welcome to the Shopify Community, and thanks for sharing your questions.

Are you able to detail the specific issues you’re having with Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest?

We understand completely, we came from WOO COMMERCE and had seamless system for the business. After our new web developer suggested we move to shopify with our new website, it has been continual glitches, inventory issues, shipping confusion etc. We now have a dedicated IT person trying to figure out what the problems are before we are impacted further. Glad to know we aren’t alone.
